Challenge:
A large Transportation company based in Oakland, CA has facilities throughout the continental United States, Canada and Hawaii. They specialize in truck, rail and oceanic product delivery systems. With little formal management training, their sites had inconsistent leadership and a hodgepodge of management standards.
Solution:
After a pilot program was delivered in Oakland, the delighted HR Director gave the green light to move forward with programming at other locations. Working with our expert program designer, the client’s HR Director selected key topics from the suite of 48 learning modules to customize a Management Success program designed just for their company. The complimentary customization of materials and content allowed for our expert instructor to roll out the topics in two day formats at four U.S. locations.
Results:
The programs delivered in California, Georgia and Illinois were a clear success. The managers were 100% engaged in the materials, leaving with skills, insights and S.M.A.R.T. goals for implementing back on the job. One Regional Vice President who sat in immediately asked Corporate HR to consider rolling out complementary programs to additional levels of managers in the next fiscal year.
